Arda Güler is a Turkish professional footballer. He plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for the Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and represents the Turkey national team.

Career
Arda Güler began his youth career at Ankara-based club Gençlerbirliği in 2014, later joining Fenerbahçe’s youth ranks in 2019.
On January 13, 2021, Güler signed a professional contract with Fenerbahçe for two and a half years. He was regarded as a wonderkid and a promising talent for the future.
Güler made his senior debut as a substitute against Finnish club HJK in the UEFA Europa League play-off round on August 19, 2021. In his first Süper Lig match three days later, he assisted Miha Zajc’s winning goal against Antalyaspor. As the season progressed, he received more playing time and, in March 2022, became Fenerbahçe’s youngest goalscorer in Süper Lig history at 17. By May 2022, Güler had scored three goals and provided three assists in just 255 minutes of play. His impressive start attracted interest from major European clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain. On March 17, 2022, Fenerbahçe extended his contract for three years.
With the departure of Mesut Özil, Güler was given the iconic number 10 jersey at the start of the 2022–23 season. He made an immediate impact, scoring twice in his first match against Kasımpaşa. On November 3, 2022, he netted his first European competition goal and provided an assist in a Europa League match against Dynamo Kyiv. On June 11, 2023, Güler delivered a man-of-the-match performance in the Turkish Cup final against İstanbul Başakşehir. On July 6, 2023, he announced his departure from Fenerbahçe via Instagram. That same day, Real Madrid confirmed Güler’s signing on a six-year contract until June 2029, having triggered his release clause with an initial payment of €20 million, exceeding the €17.5 million clause to support his former club.
Following injuries in late 2023, Güler debuted for Real Madrid in a Copa del Rey match against Arandina on January 6, 2024. Shortly after, on January 14, he won his first trophy with Real Madrid in the Supercopa de España final against Barcelona. Güler made his La Liga debut on January 27 against Las Palmas, coming on as a substitute. On March 10, he scored his first league goal for Real Madrid, and on April 26, he marked his first La Liga start with another goal against Real Sociedad. On May 19, he scored a brace against Villarreal, becoming the fastest player in Real Madrid’s history to score six La Liga goals in just 330 minutes of play.
Güler has represented Turkey at various youth levels, up to the U21s. He made his senior international debut on November 19, 2022, in a friendly match against the Czech Republic. Güler scored his first goal for the senior team on June 19, 2023, in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Wales.
