Arthur Levinson is an American executive who currently serves as the chairman of Apple Inc. since 2011 and as the CEO of Calico, a venture under Alphabet Inc.
He previously held the positions of CEO (1995–2009) and chairman (1999–2014) at Genentech.

Arthur D. Levinson, born into a Jewish family to Malvina and Sol Levinson, earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1972 and completed his PhD in biochemistry at Princeton University in 1977.
