Early life and Education
Originally from Taraba State, Emoseh was raised in the northern part of Nigeria, primarily in Kaduna, Jos, and Abuja, which greatly influenced her artistic journey. Despite being raised in a conservative environment where her movements were restricted by her parents, she found solace and expression through music. From her teenage years, she showcased her musical talent through school talent shows, impressing peers with her singing and guitar skills, often performing original compositions. Emoseh’s musical journey evolved as she began creating beats for rappers at school and gradually honed her production skills while also working on her own music. Despite initially viewing music as a hobby, encouraged by everyone around her except her father, who envisioned a formal music education for her, Emoseh began writing songs at the age of 8, sharing them with her parents. Her father, who had a musical background as a former member of a band, played a significant role in shaping her early musical influences. The moniker “Bloody Civilian” reflects her upbringing in northern Nigeria, marked by pervasive military violence, inspiring her to confront societal issues through her art.

Emoseh initially began her career as a record producer before transitioning into a recording artist.
