Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere (born 13 March 2000), known professionally as Fave, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and recording artist.
She gained recognition after releasing several minute-long videos on Twitter during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Early life and Education
As a middle Child and only daughter of the Chidozie’s, a small family of 5 who resided in eastern and south western Nigeria over the last two decades, her musical experience typically began from the church at the tender age of 6. Just before she rose to stardom in 2020, Fave (coined from Favour) was just a 19 year old singer-songwriter pursuing a law degree belted with only one single M.O.M.M.S which stands for Me or Mask My Sins.
CareerFave’s musical journey spans various genres, but she primarily identifies as a pop artist, infusing her poetic songwriting with vulnerability and vivid storytelling over groovy beats and high-tempo drum progressions. While studying for her Law degree in southwestern Nigeria in 2019, she gained attention by posting freestyles on Twitter, especially after her verse on Jinmi Abdul’s free beat went viral. Her official debut single, “N.B.U” (Nobody but U), dropped on April 17, 2020, entering the Apple Music Top 100 charts at number 64. After signing a year-long licensing deal with Mr Eazi’s emPawa Africa in November 2021, Fave soared to fame with her hit single “Baby riddim,” which topped the TurnTable chart in Nigeria and held the number 1 position on the Global Shazam Afrobeats record for six consecutive weeks in 2021. Her debut EP, ‘Riddim 5,’ released on January 20, 2022, featuring solo tracks like “Obsessed,” “S.M.K,” “Kilotufe,” “Mr. Man,” and her breakout hit, “Baby Riddim,” made history as the first 2022-released project to top the Apple Music Top Albums chart in Nigeria. Fave’s collaborations extend to Nigerian rapper Olamide’s album “UY Scuti,” where she featured on tracks “Want” and “Pon Pon,” as well as Simi’s single “Loyal” released in 2022. Additionally, she showcased her vocal prowess on Davido’s album “Timeless” with a powerful chorus on the track “Kante,” released in March 2023.

In 2022, Fave achieved notable recognition in the music industry, winning the Rookie of the Year award at The Headies 2022.
