Ludi Lin is a Chinese-Canadian actor and model.
He gained recognition for his roles as Zack Taylor in the 2017 Power Rangers reboot, the aquatic warrior Murk in Aquaman (2018), and Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat reboot.
Early life and Education
Lin, originally from Fuzhou, China, relocated to Hong Kong at the age of 3. His upbringing saw him attending boarding schools in Sydney, Australia, from the age of 9, where he encountered challenges due to his evolving accent, leading him to learn street fighting for self-defense. At 17, he moved to Vancouver, Canada, for university, graduating from the University of British Columbia with a double major in Dietetics and Theatre Performance. Lin further pursued his passion for acting by studying film and TV acting in Los Angeles. Presently, he calls both Vancouver and Beijing home.
CareerLin kickstarted his acting journey with short films before securing his breakthrough role as Zack Taylor in the film adaptation of Power Rangers. Prior to this, he auditioned for the role of Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” (2021), as well as for the role of Spike Spiegel in the live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop.” Lin’s passion for the original anime series of “Cowboy Bebop” is evident, as he expresses being a fan of the source material.
