Mohammed Usman Adamu was born on September 15, 1993, in Abuja, Nigeria, completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. He belongs to the Idoma tribe of Benue state in North-central Nigeria. He pursued his higher education at the University of Jos, graduating with a degree in Business Management. It was during his time at university that Magnito first recognized his talent for rap.
Career
At the age of 19, Magnito embarked on his rap journey, inspired by his friend “Philosophy,” also a rapper, with whom he formed the group “Mic Checkers.” He secured a deal with Big E Entertainment, owned by Eddie Winebar in Port-Harcourt. Magnito gained widespread recognition in 2010 with his hit single “Medicine girl,” captivating music enthusiasts. However, it was his 2016 track, “If I Get Money Ehn,” that propelled him to stardom, further solidified by a remix featuring Patoranking. With an extensive discography boasting over 85 songs and albums like “Shocking News,” “Freshout 01,” and “Bars And Lamba,” Magnito has left an indelible mark on the Nigerian music scene.
