Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, born on July 1, 2006, in Benin City, Edo State, attended Negbenegbor International School for her secondary education. Raised by her mother alongside her siblings in Benin City, she hails originally from Delta State. Showing early musical talent, she engaged in school talent shows and contributed her voice to her church’s adult choir.

Qing Madi’s debut single, “See Finish” (2022), gained traction primarily through TikTok. By 2023, she had released three singles and was making waves in the music scene, including a performance at the Homecoming event in Lagos, Nigeria. Her musical style spans Afrobeat, Pop, Soul, and R&B genres.
In 2023, Spotify named Qing Madi as the Spotify Africa Equal Ambassador for June. On July 21, 2023, she dropped the single “Ole” featuring Bnxn, which entered various Apple Music charts and reached number 12 on the Turntable Official Nigeria Top 100. It also entered the Official Charts Afrobeats Chart, peaking at number 16.
In January 2024, Qing Madi, alongside other artists like OdumoduBlvck and Bloody Civilian, was inducted into Apple Music’s Rising Class of 2024. In an interview with African Folder, she disclosed that she had penned two songs on her debut eponymous project at the age of fourteen.
