Early life and Education
Adigwe was born in Enugu and spent his formative years there before relocating to Austria, where he completed his primary and secondary education. Before pursuing acting, he focused on studying French and German, worked as a teacher, and briefly pursued Medicine before returning to Nigeria following his father’s passing. He then pursued his passion for the arts, enrolling at the University of Ibadan, where he graduated with First Class Honours in Theatre Arts.

Adigwe’s passion for acting ignited at the age of seven. His debut on Nigerian television came in the iconic series Basi and Company, where he took on the role of Mr. B, infusing the character with his guitar-strumming, get-rich-quick persona. He also contributed to the show’s music, including the new theme song, and released an album titled “Mr. B Makes His Millions” in conjunction with the series. Adigwe’s career expanded to films, with his first notable role in “Blood of the Orphan,” earning him acclaim. He further showcased his talent in the movie “Living Abroad” in 2004. According to a report from New Telegraph, veteran Nollywood actor Zulu Adigwe has passed away. The actor reportedly died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the age of 69. The news of his passing was confirmed by movie producer Stanley Nwoko, who shared the announcement on his official Instagram page.
The announcement reads: “With deep regret, I announce the passing of veteran actor, the late Mr. Zulu Adigwe. The cause of his death is yet to be disclosed. May he rest in peace, a talented actor.”
